High School
I’m putting this up here for kicks… When I was in high school, my friend Holly and I had our own ‘zine called Boundless Reject. It was pre-blogs, pre-internet… pre-everything electronic. I recently scanned them in and oh. my. gosh.
Reading this, I realize that we thought a) we were awesome (which we were) b) there was NO ONE out there like us (at the time, there were few) and c) we were bold, fearless and poetic.
Looking back, I realize it was kind of a big deal for us to do the ‘zine. We were in a Catholic high school. We tried to buck the system. We were only 16, and yet, we were insightful, sarcastic and could read between the lines. So few kids today have that ability. I like to think we were on the “cutting edge” way back in 1993…
Coming soon…
