Do you have a friend who you just know is a great catch? The kind of friend who you want to date, fall in love and get married because not only is she a great person, she deserves to be happy and in love?
Meet my friend… that friend… Celeste.
Celeste is beautiful.
Celeste is fun.
Celeste has a great and giving personality.
Celeste is a fairy Godmother.
Celeste and I go way back.
Celeste is also a kick-but karaoke singer, but I can’t find a picture for that.
For a long time, Celeste was single. She was a bridesmaid for more friends than I can count, and she watched many friends marry, and have kids.
But Celeste is no longer on the market.
Celeste is getting married and when she announced it to me this weekend, it was so very hard to ask, “When’s the date?” because I didn’t want her to feel rushed. I didn’t want to be the married person BEGGING her single friends to be married too.
Why? Because part of the excitement of getting married is the planning and the engagement period itself. It’s the imagining of the dress, the dance and the guests. It’s the choosing and smiling and excitement over spending the rest of your life with someone you love.
Celeste deserves it more than anyone else I know. I hope she enjoys her time in the spotlight as Newly Engaged Celeste.

Yay for Celeste – though I’ve always thought of the engagement period as full of stress and freakouts.
