I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s super-post-partum-PMS, maybe it’s a case of the Mondays, or maybe I am just itching for a change, but today? Was Crap.
I just felt like, blah. It was one of those days when I just wanted to come home after a crap day with a crap commute to my awesome family.
But my family today was not in their awesome glory.
1. The Babe was sick and had beaten the hubs down with her incessant and inconsolable crying. (I know how hard this is, Hubs! You were a good Daddy!) She’s got an ear infection, a cold, and a fever.
2. The dog crapped on the welcome mat.
3. And now? While Babes is finally asleep, I can only wonder when round two will spring up.
So it was nice to get this from newlyweds Ross and Katy.
I’m not really sure why I got this award, but it’s one of those days when I could use a little bit of Daisy sunshine, so how could I not accept it.
Please, if you get a chance, check out Ross and Katy’s blog. They are a supercute couple, and have lots of photos to share!
But there are rules when you get this award…and today? Not such a good day for the whole “follow through” with rules… so instead of going by the book, I am doing my own thing.
Here are a few of my favorite blogs…I’m only naming three (see #3).
They might not have 1,000 readers, or 100 comments per post, but these ladies are fine writers and that’s why I am calling them “Fabulous Finds.”
Like My Baby. She is a breast cancer survivor, she is a mom to a beautiful baby girl, and she is only 33.
Amber Page Writes. I stumbled upon this blog way back in the day when I was hanging out on Baby Center message boards. Amber and I have daughters almost the same age. And, though we’ve never met face to face, I feel like I know her. Honest, real, and really funny.
Lemonologie. A super-sweet mama. She writes heart-felt posts to her baby girl, and just puts a smile on your face.
So there it is. My award, my rules, right? After all, it’s about sharing the love in the blogosphere. Please visit these blogging ladies and tell them they’re fabulous! (and that I sent you!)

Great blogs you linked to….and congrats on the award. Wishing you a better night than your day!
@Casey, We did have a better night than day! She slept through… and seems to be in a better mood today!
I’m sorry you had such a crappy day, but I’m glad we were able to brighten it up!
Also, think of it this way: tomorrow is Tuesday, not Monday, one day closer to the weekend!
@Katy, Amen! And more snow is predicted for the weekend, so it will be indoors.. and white.
Thanks for the shout out! That sounds like an awful, horrible, no good day. I’m glad she’s doing a little better today…remember, when all else fails, there’s nothing a nice big tumbler (I’m all about class) of cabernet or pinot grigio won’t solve…
@amber, Amber “Classy” Page…
Dog poop on the welcome mat? That’s a very bad sign. Just go back to bed.
Hope your week gets better!
@angie, It was an even worse sign for the hubs who had to clean it up.
this made my day! thank you!!!!!!!
@Wendy, Good! I love reading your blog
