I’m Freddie.
Freddie Mitchell. My parents named me after an Eagles player who was *so good* they let him go from the team.
But I am still named Freddie Mitchell.
I’ve got a lot of issues with this new baby in the house. Mommy used to fawn over me.
She would dress me up for holidays.
Let me drink coffee.
She would cuddle with me.
And now? It’s all about this little creature in the house. The little creature that is not me.
The little creature grabs my ears and tail. She thinks it is funny. But I don’t think it is funny.
Still, I sit there and take it. I’ve never growled, I’ve never given her a mean look. Sometimes, I walk away, but mostly I am too lazy to do that.
I guess she is cute, but cuter than me?
I’m not so sure. I don’t poop in the house like she does. I don’t leave my toys around like she does…
But, I guess she is cute.
So, even though your attention is focused on that little creature, I’ll always be here, Mommy.
After all, I am your first child.

That’s just cuteness squared.
Awwww Freddie, maybe you need a vacation? It sounds like you had a very trying eight months. We know of a great destination. We often visit there ourselves. We like to think of it as “doggie heaven” and the kicker is, you know the way! Nana’s house is a special place where all doggie woes are forgotten. We think you would enjoy it.
Your BFFs,
Mia, Zita & Max
Woof! Woof!
Aw, they are both adorable!
You know Freddie, not to sound cliched but, “been there, done that” and now on to round two. You know what my mommy and daddy did to me?! They put my bacon snacks in the baby’s jammies. Zipped up and all down in one of those damn fleece “sleep ‘n plays” They thought it would force some interaction between myself and that baby and well- it did, but seriously, what kind of wackos do such things to their beloved pets and children?! So, I feel for you, I really do- it’s tough to get dealt such a hand, but hang in there… the food gets better!!!
To Freddie
You are so good with our little Bea
You let her pull your hair and your collar and all you ever do is just turn around and look at her and then go back to sleep
You want us to think that she annoys you, but I catch you giving her little head a lick now and then
You are the best. Not every first child would be so lovable to the new addition but you are.
You were great company, following me everywhere and just cuddling up on the sofa next to me and Bea when I was feeding her.
You didn’t even mind when I moved you from your resting place so that I could put the pillow down and give Bea her bottle
She will love you as much as we all do
I think that she already does.
So you have not taken second place, you just are her protector and friend and big brother
I think my dog and your dog need to get together for a bitch session. He is so not happy with this whole situation. But I’m thinking when she starts eating real food and feeding him at the table, he’ll forgive us for bringing her home.
Great site, by the way. You’ve got mad web designing skillz.
